   Most carvings will last from 3 to 8 hours at room temperature. The critical variable is whether or  
   not the ice sculpture will be in the sunlight or not. It's ok for it to be outside as long as it is under

   a tent or canopy out of the sunlight. And of course temperature matters but isn't nearly the
   problem sunlight can be. A lighted display tray is provided; and the sculpture often looks better

   as the ice melts and clears.
